Course Schedule: Monday starting September 16, 2019 (15-weeks)

Ages: 4 - 8

Class Meeting Time: 4:00-5:00PM.

Description: Using a multisensory approach, children will learn the language through songs, games, crafts, art and stories. Students are immersed in German for an hour of language learning and fun. Class is open for children between the ages of 4-8, with little or no prior knowledge of German.

Price: $225

Course Schedule: Monday starting September 16th, 2019 (15-weeks)

Ages: 8 - 12

Class Meeting Time: 5:00-6:00PM.

Description: This class is intended for children that have at least 1 year of prior German and are already reading and writing in their native language. Students will be immersed in the German language and culture. This class will be actively doing STEM / STEAM related activities in German. We will be exploring different scientific areas in three different faculties: humankind, nature and technology while at the same time learning German in a fun and playful way. The NHGA is proud to be part of this pilot program and we are excited to offer this new class format.

Course Schedule: Monday starting September 16, 2019 (15-weeks)

Class Meeting Time: 6:30-8:30PM.

Description: This is the introduction German class which will get you started with the German language from greetings to numbers and lets you begin your journey into the language. Students learn basic structures and vocabulary of elementary German. They practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing and learn to communicate in simple everyday situations. This class is intended for learners with no previous knowledge of German.

A1.1 Level. ( Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) (CEFR).

Course Schedule: Monday starting September 16, 2019 (15-weeks)

Class Meeting Time: 6:30-8:30PM.

Description: At this level, students should be able to conduct basic conversations in the German language. Building upon the basic foundations, students will continue to learn grammatical concepts such as verbs with separable prefixes, accusative and dative case.

A1.2 level ( Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) (CEFR).

Course Schedule: Wednesday starting September 18, 2019 (15-weeks)

Class Meeting Time: 6:30-8:30PM.

Description: This multi level class is intended for learners that would like to learn a variety of topics in German while at the same time continuing to improve their vocabulary and grammar. This class will use various modes of media in class to enhance the learning environment. The class will often use short videos and films as a discussion point. Topics covered in class range from geography to history to culture and more! Grammar will be text-based.

Level B1+ Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Price: $350

Course Schedule: Wednesday starting September 18, 2019 (15-weeks)

Class Meeting Time: 6:30-8:30PM.

Description: At this level, students should be able to conduct basic conversations in the German language. Building upon the basic foundations, students will continue to learn grammatical concepts such as verbs with separable prefixes, accusative and dative case.

A2 level (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) (CEFR).

Price: $350

All classes must meet the minimum enrollment to run. If we do not meet sufficient enrollment, we may decide to shorten the duration/hours of the class or to cancel the class. It is imperative that you register before class begins in order for us to determine whether we have sufficient enrollment to hold the class. Please help us by signing up as early as possible. We will not hold a class if it does not meet enrollment numbers prior to start date.

A certificate of attendance and achievement can be issued for all classes. If a student needs a specific letter of attendance/achievement for high school, college, this can be written up as well, upon request.

If class is cancelled due to illness or weather, the class will be made up at the end of the session.  In the event of cancellation, you will be notified by phone and/or email.  Please be sure your instructor has a way to reach you during the day.  If you have questions, please call or email your instructor.
