Learning Objectives
Curious about the German language and culture? A Glimpse of German(y) is the perfect introduction for kids ages 10+ with no prior German experience. Using materials developed by the Goethe-Institut, this engaging 4-week course combines beginner language learning with fun cultural insights.
Each week, students will:
- Learn essential German vocabulary and simple phrases
- Explore aspects of life in Germany—like school, food, sports, and holidays
- Practice listening, speaking, reading, and basic writing skills through interactive activities
- Play games, watch short videos, and complete creative tasks to reinforce learning
Prior Knowledge
This class offers a friendly and supportive environment where kids can start building confidence in German while discovering what makes German culture unique. Whether they’re exploring a new language for the first time or preparing for future learning, this short course is a great first step into the world of German!
