Learning Objectives
Curious minds welcome! This class is designed for heritage learners and A2-level German students who want to deepen their language skills through engaging, real-world topics. Using the Goethe-Institut’s Kinder Uni and Junior Uni platforms, students will explore science, technology, the environment, and society — all in German.
This course is ideal for students who:
- Come from German-speaking households and want to build reading, writing, and academic vocabulary skills
- Have completed an A1 level or have basic German proficiency and are ready to grow their confidence
Each week, students will:
- Watch age-appropriate video lectures in German
- Discuss the content in small groups to build speaking fluency
- Work on reading and writing activities to reinforce grammar and vocabulary
- Explore fun topics like “Why do cats always land on their feet?” or “How does the internet work?”
With a focus on language through content, students will expand their vocabulary and communication skills while fueling their curiosity about the world. This class builds both linguistic confidence and cultural connection in a dynamic, interactive learning environment.
