Our classes will still be held over Zoom for those of you that cannot or do not want to travel to Manchester.  The first class of the semester will be hybrid (in-person and over Zoom at same time).  The second class will be Zoom-only.  The rest of the classes will alternate in the same way thereafter – hybrid followed by Zoom-only.  So, all odd weeks of the semester ( Weeks 1,3,5,7 … 15) will be in-classroom and Zoom, and all even weeks (Weeks 2,4,6,8 …14) will be Zoom-only.

Class begins on September 24, 2026 and runs 15 weeks, Thursdays.

Class begins at 5:00 pm and runs until 6:00 pm.

What Will I Learn?

This class will immerse students in the language through engaging activities, including games, stories, songs, and interactive exercises, all taught in the target language.

The class will provide a rich environment where students are surrounded by the German language from the start. Through fun activities like songs, dances, and games, children experience the language naturally, picking up words and phrases without the need for constant translation.

Each session is filled with interactive elements such as plays, storytelling, and short verbal exchanges. These activities are designed to make learning a new language enjoyable and accessible, ensuring that students remain engaged and motivated.

As students progress, they master new songs and games, adding them to a growing repertoire of language experiences. This dynamic approach keeps the class exciting and fresh, with new challenges and discoveries at every turn.

The emphasis is on having fun while learning. Students are encouraged to try out new sounds, participate with enthusiasm, and embrace the joy of speaking a new language. This fosters a positive attitude towards language learning and boosts confidence.

By engaging with the language in a playful and intuitive way, students acquire language skills naturally and effectively. The supportive environment helps students gain confidence as they practice their new language skills, making mistakes, and learning from them without fear.
